Welcome to AURA’s annual fall fundraiser!

Families, neighbors, church groups, sponsors, former refugees, and other AURA supporters come together to host small local events – walks, rides, book clubs, garden tours, and more – to raise funds and awareness to the cause of refugees.

These donations are crucial in helping AURA support over 400 refugees in various stages of their journeys.

Activities & events:

1. Splendor in the Grass – garden tour organized by Ted and Isabella Robinson: Sat, Sept 6, 2025. Donate to Ted Here.
2. Quinte West Walk ‘N Rollers: Sat, Sept 20, 2025. Walk and bike ride starting from Quinte West Public Library at 10am, with a stop along the way for a BBQ lunch at a property along the Bay of Quinte. All are welcome to join. Donate to Quinte West Walk ‘N Rollers Here.
3. Ahmed’s Rollers: A walk and ride in Newcastle on Sun, Sept 28, 2025. Families of two AURA-sponsored former refugees Ahmed and Basel lead the event. Donate to Ahmed’s Rollers Here.
4. West End Cycling: A 26km bike ride from High Park to Biidaasige Park and back on Sat, Sept 27, 2025. Cyclists encouraged to join in. Donate to West End Cycling Here.
